Evaluation
• In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
My media film challenges the forms and conventions of normal films as it uses regular camera shots such as match-on-action and shot/reverse shots. My film is similar to real media products in the fact that the different camera shots can be seen in regular films.
• How does your media product represent particular social groups?
My media product represents the social groups that can be seen with in an office environment, with a boss and a slack worker. Within every office environment there is an employee who doesnt pull his weight, which I used within my film.
• What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
• Who would be the audience for your media product?
• How did you attract/address your audience?
I attracted my audience through the matching of the performance criteria, and making the film in order to pass the media film project. I addressed the audience thorugh making the film in the same way that other media students would have made their films, and so that we are all in the same situation. I also think that the situation I filmed has a touch of reality to it, in order to make the scene seem more realistic.
• What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
I have learnt about how to use programmes such as IMedia, in order to edit a film together. I now know exactly what to do in order to make a basic media product, as well as advancing my limited skills in using Apple Mac computers. I have also learnt how to use a handheld camera effectively, as well as making use of different camera shots in order to make my final film. I also learnt how to cut and edit the film together in IMovie.

Film I Produced: How I Did It
In order to film my project, I enlisted the help of two actors, Laurence and Barney so that I could direct from behind the camera. The main idea behind my film, is a meeting between a boss and a slack worker, who eventually gets fired. I chose my location within the Conference Suite of Victoria College School, as this looked like an office sort of environment. Within my film, Barney played the worker, and Laurence played the boss.
I started by filming the whole film from the required angles, so that I could edit it at a later stage.
I started by using a tracking shot, as Barney walked towards the door, followed by a match-on-action shot as Barney turned the door handle. I then took a shot from inside the room as Barney entered the room. I then took an establishing shot of the both characters sat in their respective chairs. I then took a series of over the sholder shot/reverse shots from behind both characters shoulders as the other was speaking. I then used a mid-shot as Barney left the room.
I edited my film using IMedia, and imported it by using the Import button.
I edited my shot by splitting the film in order so that the shortened clips fitted nicely together.
My Final film project is on Mac 14, file name: Morris Medja work

Things to do
When creating my film I will need to take a number of different things into account these include:

Shots I Will Need to Use In My Film
Match-on-Action shot
A match on action shot is when some action occurs before there is a quick cut and the cut picks up immedietely from where the shot before it takes off.
Shot/Reverse Shot
A Shot/Reverse shot is when a series of shots takes places usually involving two characters, usually in the middle of conversation. The shots come from behind the shoulder of the non-speaking character so that the speaking character is in shot. A series of shots takes place so that the whole conversation is shown to the audience.
180 Degree Rule
This involves remaining within 180 degrees from all shots

Plan and Target Audience
During this film project I aim to match the target brief set. In order to do this I will film the action from a variety of differeng angles and edit the shots together using IMovie.
My short film will consist of a number of shots and camera angles. The first section will consist of a man walking through a door, and a match-on-action shot as he turns the handle to open the door. Then I will follow this man as he walks towards his seat, where he will have a short conversation with another guy who is already in the room. The conversation will involve a series of shots from behind the each man as the other one talks. This will match the brief set at the beginning of the project.
There is no real target audience for this short film as the film isn't specifically made for anyone, rather it is made just to fit the original criteria set.
